WATCH FOR FIGURACY 2015
Design fiction for Mobile Life Centre, Stockholm University, illustrating a smart watch that mimics colours and patterns in fashion clothing. Screened in the video showcase at CHI 2017.
THE BALLAD OF JOHNNY WALFORD 2015
Collaboration with poet Ralph Hoyte and sculptor / musician Michael Fairfax for the Being Human Festival, commissioned by the University of the West of England supported by Framedogs. The film distils a performance about the execution and gibbeting (exhibiting felon's bodies in iron cages at the scene of their crimes) of John Walford, for the murder of his wife Jane, in 1789. Shortlisted for the AHRC's Research in Films Award 2016 and screened at Zebra Poetry Festival, Munster.
HIDDEN FIELDS - 2014
Award winning Hidden Fields is constructed using danceroom Spectroscopy (dS) technology, which uses rigorous methods from computational physics and state-of-the-art super-computing to interpret dancers as energy fields, whose movement creates ripples in an invisible sea of energy.
ROYAL SOCIETY OF CHEMISTRY EDUCATION RESOURCES - (TALK 1)
Dr David Glowacki introduces the behaviour of atmospheric molecules to year 9 students @ the danceroom Spectroscopy Festival (2013). Talks 2, 3 & 4 available on the Royal Society of Chemistry website.
dS @ BIG BANG SCIENCE FAIR 2013
danceroom Spectroscopy (dS) installation in Igloo Vision 360 degree projection dome @Big Bang Young Scientist & Engineers Fair 2013. dS educates children and the general public about atomic and molecular physics, giving them an interactive glimpse into the invisible molecular world.
HIDDEN FIELDS - 2012
Multi- award winning danceroom Spectroscopy (dS) is an interactive visualisation of the nano-world. Fusing 3D imagery with real molecular dynamics, dS allows you to see your own energy field, and use it to interact with an invisible atomic world. Made to promote the first Hidden Fields show.
